Oh, hey there!

I’m Amy Jane. I am a full time printmaker-artist in South Africa. I get to spend almost everyday creating art and hanging out with my animals in the studio.  

I graduated from Rhodes with a degree in Fine art and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education. Ten years later I am back in academics, this time I’m doing my Masters in Visual Art at the University of Pretoria.

My art practice focuses on mixed-media printmaking, and strives to be as non-toxic and environmentally-friendly as possible; by using water based mediums, making my own paper, and avoiding solvents.  I make whimsical bird portraiture, illustrations and collages though a variety of mixed-media.

Apart from my own work, I co-founded The Printing Girls (TPG) in 2016. TPG is an all-female collective of South African based artists who work in print. We are the #PRINTLIKEAGIRL gang.
